Die 38. Ausgabe der transmediale (near) near but — far findet vom 29. Januar bis 2. Februar 2025 in Berlin statt. Das dreitägige Hauptprogramm des Festivals im Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW). Als Prolog zum Festivalwochenende wird es ein zweitägiges Workshopprogramm im silent green Kulturquartier geben. Thematisch untersucht das Festival unser Verhältnis zu Nähe und Vertrautheit, das mehr und mehr durch Algorithmen (ver)formt und performt wird.

The 38th edition of transmediale (near) near but -far will take place in Berlin from 29 January to 2 February 2025. The festival's three-day main programme will take place at Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) with a two-day workshop programme at silent green Kulturquartier as a prologue. Thematically, the festival will examine our human relationship between proximity and closeness, which is increasingly being distorted by algorithms.
